Project delivered as part of my professional role at ICM UW.
An informational website dedicated to research data management, depositing and sharing at the University of Warsaw.
Context
Research data is an important part of modern academic work, and preparing, describing and sharing it correctly requires appropriate procedures and tools.
The website brings together information designed to help University of Warsaw researchers navigate these topics.
Challenge
Research data guidance covers a wide range of topics and can be complex for users who do not work with it every day.
The challenge was to create a structure that makes specific information easier to find without oversimplifying the subject.
My role
I was responsible for the WordPress development of the website.
The project uses Gutenberg and ACF for content management, PHP for the WordPress layer and Tailwind CSS for the front end.
Development
The component structure was designed so that new content can be added and expanded in WordPress while maintaining a consistent presentation.
Gutenberg and ACF allow editors to manage content without manually editing the website code.
Result
The result is a structured information website that brings research data guidance together in one place while allowing the content to continue evolving through WordPress.
