Project delivered as part of my professional role at ICM UW.
A website for the Polish Social Science Data Consortium presenting its mission, member institutions, the Social Data Repository and activities connected with national and European social science data infrastructure.
Context
The Social Science Data Consortium brings together Polish research institutions working with the collection, preservation and sharing of social science data.
The website presents the Consortium, its members and activities related to Poland’s social science data infrastructure and participation in CESSDA ERIC.
An important part of this ecosystem is the Social Data Repository, a platform supporting the deposit, description, long-term preservation and sharing of social science research data.
Challenge
The website serves several different audiences and connects multiple areas – information about the Consortium and membership, the repository, data standards, educational resources and CESSDA ERIC.
The challenge was to organise these areas within a coherent structure while maintaining clear paths between related content.
My role
I was responsible for WordPress development and selected UI/UX improvements.
The work included development of the WordPress layer, website components and the presentation of content.
The project uses Sage, PHP, ACF and Tailwind CSS.
Development
The website structure allows different types of information to operate within one consistent visual and technical system.
ACF supports structured content management in WordPress, while the component-based theme architecture makes the website easier to maintain and extend.
UI/UX
The work also included improvements to interface elements and content presentation.
The goal was to maintain a clear information hierarchy and make it easier to move between information about the Consortium, the repository and resources related to social science data.
Result
The result is a consistent WordPress website bringing together information about the Consortium, the Social Data Repository, data standards, resources and CESSDA ERIC.
The architecture provides a foundation for expanding the website with additional content without rebuilding the entire structure.
